Itinerary

Day 1 Gaya (Arrival) - Bodhgaya

Upon your arrival in Gaya, you will be greeted by our tour representative who will assist you with a guided transfer to your pre-arranged hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, take some time to relax. Subsequently, prepare for a visit to the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the very place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

Within the temple complex, you will have the opportunity to visit the Bodhi Tree, the sacred tree under which Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment. This site holds profound significance for Buddhists and draws followers from all corners of the world. Your next stop will be the Wat Thai Temple, a unique and the only Thai temple in India.

After these enriching experiences, return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 2Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna

Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast. Following breakfast, embark on a road journey to Patna. En route, you will make a stop to explore the attractions of Rajgir, which served as the first capital of the Magadha kingdom. Rajgir is renowned for its historical treasures, including Buddhist ruins, rock-cut caves, shell inscriptions, Hindu Jain temples, and forts.

Additionally, your journey will include a visit to Nalanda, a historical site dating back to 450 CE, renowned as a prominent Buddhist university. Over the course of its existence, many distinguished scholars, including Mahavira and Buddha, visited this ancient seat of learning. After exploring these remarkable places, continue your drive to Patna. Upon arrival in Patna, complete the check-in procedure at your chosen hotel.

Day 3Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar

After enjoying your breakfast, embark on a road trip to Kushinagar, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage destination. En route, make a visit to Vaishali, a small district in Bihar that holds great importance for Buddhists, Hindus, and Jains. It is the birthplace of Lord Mahavira and a place where Lord Buddha spent a significant portion of his life. After exploring the historical and religious sites in Vaishali, continue your journey to Kushinagar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take some time to relax.

Kushinagar is another prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha attained Nirvana. The area is adorned with numerous stupas and monasteries and is renowned for deriving its name from that of Lord Rama’s son, Kush.

Your overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel in Kushinagar.

Day 4 Kushinagar - Varanasi

Day 4 of the Golden Triangle of Buddhist Tour commences with a hearty breakfast. Following breakfast, prepare for a city tour of Kushinagar, during which you will visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple. This sacred shrine houses a 6.10-meter-long reclining statue of the Buddha, carved from a single piece of red sandstone from Chunar. Regarded as one of the most revered Buddhist shrines, the temple attracts numerous devotees year-round.

Next, you will proceed to the Wat Thai Temple, a splendid structure that stands out prominently in Kushinagar and showcases the distinctive Thai Buddhist architectural style. This temple draws tourists from all corners of the world. After paying your respects, you will continue your journey to Varanasi.

Upon arrival in Varanasi, complete the check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5Varanasi

Cancellation Policy

If You Cancel Your Holiday :

You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an email to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below:

Cancellation charges per person

  • 30 days or more before departure: 25% of the total cost
  • 29-30 days before departure 50% of the total cost
  • Less than 19 days before departure 100% of the total cost

If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday :

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you.

If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. bad weather, Terror Acts, Unstable Govt. etc):

  • We shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour hasn’t already
  • If the tour has already commenced, then we shall refund the booking price/fee charged to you on a pro-rata basis depending on the portion of the tour utilized by
  • In all circumstances, however, our liability shall be limited to refunding to you the price we charged as tour
