The ‘India Buddhist Tour’ package offers a comprehensive exploration of renowned Buddhist sites in both India and Nepal. This transformative journey retraces the path of a prince-turned-monk who relinquished the comforts of life in pursuit of enlightenment. Spanning 10 days, this itinerary encompasses visits to Delhi, Bodhgaya, Patna, Kushinagar, Lumbini, Sravasti, and Varanasi.
The tour commences in Delhi. Upon your arrival, you proceed to check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
After enjoying a morning breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing excursion in Old Delhi. Your itinerary will include visits to significant landmarks like the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, and Humayun’s Tomb. Following lunch in the afternoon, continue your exploration with a visit to the attractions in New Delhi, including India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s House, and Qutab Minar. Subsequently, you will be transferred to the New Delhi Railway Station to catch a train bound for Gaya. Your overnight accommodation will be on board the train.
In the early morning, you will arrive in Gaya from Delhi. Upon your arrival, you will be promptly transferred to your hotel. After taking some time to unwind, you can embark on a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya, which includes visiting the Mahabodhi Temple, the Thai Temple, and the Bodhi Tree. After your sightseeing excursion, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After having breakfast in the morning, you will depart by road for Patna, the capital of Bihar and one of the world’s oldest inhabited cities. En route, you will visit Nalanda to explore the remnants of India’s ancient university, as well as Rajgir, the former ancient capital of Bihar, a small hill town surrounded by lush green forests. Upon your arrival in Patna, you will check in at the hotel. You have the option to explore Patna’s attractions independently, including the Patna Museum and Patna Sahib Gurudwara. Your overnight accommodation will be at the hotel.
Following breakfast in the morning, you will set out on a road journey to Kushinagar. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit Vaishali, a town named after the historic king Vishal who once ruled the area. Kushinagar holds significance as the place where Lord Buddha took his final breath. Upon reaching Kushinagar, you will check in at the hotel for your overnight stay.
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kushinagar. Your itinerary will include visits to the Mahaparinirvana Temple and the Mukutbandhan Stupa. Following your exploration of Kushinagar, proceed by road to Lumbini. Upon your arrival, check in at the hotel for your overnight stay.
Today, following breakfast, embark on a sightseeing expedition in Lumbini, renowned as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The attractions on your itinerary encompass the Ashokan Pillar, Lumbini Museum, Japan Peace Pagoda, and the Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Temple. Subsequently, continue your journey by road to Sravasti, where you will spend the night at the hotel.
After breakfast in the morning, explore the attractions in Sravasti. Your visit will include Angulimala Stupa, Anathapindika’s Stupa, Jetavana Monastery, and an ancient Jain temple. Subsequently, depart by road for Varanasi. Upon your arrival, complete the check-in process at the hotel. If you prefer, you can either witness the evening Ganga Aarti or unwind in the comfort of your room. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Early in the morning, at approximately 5 AM, explore the Ghats of Varanasi and savor a boat ride along the sacred Ganges. Following breakfast, proceed with a drive to Sarnath, a holy city situated 10 kilometers from Varanasi. Your Sarnath visit will encompass the Dhamek Stupa, Dharmarajika Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon, return to Varanasi, where you will visit The Vishwanath Temple, The Dugra Temple, and The Benaras Hindu University. Finally, head back to the hotel for your overnight stay.
The morning offers free time for relaxation and personal activities. Subsequently, you will be transferred to the Varanasi airport to catch your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you can enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before proceeding to the international airport for your flight back home.
